Shameless Reviews

Welcome to Shameless Reviews, here you will find completely honest reviews of restaurants from around the nation.  Staying true to the shameless theme, you can rest assured that I will not be basing my reviews on salads or other healthy alternatives.  If you have a favorite restaurant you would like reviewed or if you own a restaurant and would like it reviewed feel free to send me a request.  However, there will be no fees or other incentives accepted as these reviews will remain unbiased except by exceptional food, presentation, and impeccable service.  Read and enjoy.

RATING SYSTEM:

The Shameless rating system will be based on a rating of one to five knives (there are no half knives in this system, either you rate or you don't) and will cover several categories.  These are: taste, presentation, wine/spirits selection, and service.  Price will not be considered in the overall rating, but there will be a statement about the overall value of the establishment.  As with all of my posts, these reviews are my brutally honest feedback on the restaurants.

RATINGS:

        •  The one knife rating is reserved for the absolute worst of the worst.  This rating indicates that there is nothing of redeeming value at this restaurant and in the reviewers opinion, the establishment should shut their doors and save themselves the embarrassment of further damaging the human condition with their swill.
        • The two knife rating is a seriously poor performance.  This means that while the food is edible, it is barely so. If you find yourself in the neighborhood, and you are famished...well, you should probably still seek an alternate eatery.  If you choose to eat at a two knife restaurant don't say you weren't fairly warned.
        •  The three knife rating indicates an restaurant that isn't special in any real notable way, but that produces consistently edible food.  It is not highly recommended, but if you are without choice it is a passable option
        •  The four knife rating indicates a restaurant that produces consistently good food.  Leaving this type of eatery you will always feel you received value for your dollar.  It falls short of being spectacular in some way, but you wouldn't be ashamed to have your friends see you eating there.
        •  The five knife rating is exceptional.  Their is something truly unique or special about a restaurant that garners this rating.  This rating is extremely difficult to attain and requires virtual perfection across the board in all categories.  If you have the chance, you must eat here.
